JAMB Gives Fresh Update On Accessibility Of UTME Results
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says network providers are looking into technical hitches stopping candidates from accessing the recently released Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Since the results were released on Saturday, some candidates have been having issues checking their results according to some posts monitored on Social Media by Naija News.
Giving an update on the development on Monday morning in a post on the micro-blogging site, Twitter, JAMB said it was working on resolving the issues, noting that normalcy would be restored soon.
2019 UTME Results: Nigerian Students Threaten JAMB Over SMS Charge
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to JAMB to refund the N50 Short Message Service (SMS) charges back to UTME candidates.
The group urged the board to send the examination results directly to candidates’ phone since it has their database.
2019 UTME: JAMB Remits N5 Billion To Federal Government’s Account
The sum of N5 billion has been remitted to the account of the Federal Government by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board following the conclusion of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.The development was revealed in the board’s weekly bulletin signed by JAMB’s Head of Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin.
Benjamin while speaking with NAN stated that the Federal Government returned the sum of N2 billion naira to the board to enhance its operations.
